PEMFC Poly-Generation Systems: Developments, Merits, and Challenges

نویسندگان

چکیده

Significant research efforts are directed towards finding new ways to reduce the cost, increase efficiency, and decrease environmental impact of power-generation systems. The poly-generation concept is a promising strategy that enables development sustainable power system. Over past few years, Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell-based Poly-Generation Systems (PEMFC-PGSs) have received accelerated developments due low-temperature operation, high low impact. This paper provides comprehensive review main PEMFC-PGSs, including Combined Heat Power (CHP) co-generation systems, Cooling (CCP) Cooling, Heat, (CCHP) tri-generation Water (CWP) First, technologies used in such as those related hydrogen production, energy storage, Waste Recovery (WHR), etc., detailed. Then, progresses on economic, energy, performance different PEMFC-PGSs presented. Also, recent commercialization activities these systems highlighted focusing leading countries this field. Furthermore, remaining economic technical obstacles along with future directions mitigate them discussed. reveals potential PEMFC-PGS securing However, many issues, particularly cost degradation rate, still need be addressed before unlocking full benefits
